How to Use the Steps Calculator
Choose your mode: Steps to Calories, Steps to Distance, or Daily Goal. Enter your weight and step count (or target). Stride length defaults to average adult values.
Steps Calculator Formula
Calories = (steps × stride_m / 1000) × MET × weight_kg / 60; Distance = steps × stride_length_m / 1000MET= 3.5 for walking; stride defaults: male 0.78m, female 0.71m
Example Calculation
10,000 steps, 70 kg male:
Distance = 10000 × 0.78 / 1000 = 7.8 km; Calories = 7.8 × 3.5 × 70 / 60
Distance ≈ 7.8 km; Calories burned ≈ 318 kcal
